The sound of cars in the Honda Indy was almost deafening, but Sarah Smith hardly disturbed.
The 9-year-old jumped for joy while whistling cars, the roar of their engines piercing the air of downtown Saturday afternoon IndyCar fans are exactly what you came for.
"It's unbelievable," said Smith, participating in his first outing with his parents. "I love cars, and faster than cars, the better."
The Honda Indy is an annual summer tradition in the city, the closure of Lakeshore Boulevard. along a 2.8 km stretch where the race takes place, and the addition of thousands of fans worldwide.
Among them was thrilled IndyCar Heather Stinson, Kansas, made last week with his mother and sister to take part in the events of the weekend.
"I'm a bit of a year, but this is the first time I became a TSX," said Stinson, who he was happy to see is a street circuit. "C" is very nice, and the weather is fantastic. "
